Nourishing food prepared in your kitchen

while you rest.

How would you like it if…?

I pick up some groceries before I arrive at your home—or arrive ready to use whatever you already have in your kitchen. Maybe babe is napping, feeding, or safely secure in my Moby wrap leaving you free to massage your wrists and have some breathing space. Maybe you’re taking a bath, napping in bed, eating a snack and sharing about how the world is looking through your eyes on that day… Nourishing meals and snacks are being turned out in your kitchen as per your preferences and desires.

By the end of my visit, home and heart help has been offered and food is on the table or in the fridge. Kitchen is clean. Now if that ain’t magic for the new mama, what is?

  • lactation cookies

  • chopped vegetable + fruit plates

  • roasted, seasoned nuts + seeds mix

  • grilled cheese sandwich

  • steamed apple or pear with cinnamon

  • quickbreads: banana nut, carrot and raisin, cinnamon oat & chocolate zucchini.

  • golden mylk paste

  • granola

  • coconut butter homemade chocolate with dried fruit, nuts and seeds

Meals

  • Egg scamble or fritata

  • new mother porridge

  • savory oatmeal or congee

  • seasoned and roasted root vegetables

  • yummy soups and stews with or without meat

  • sweet potato hash and greens

  • fajitas

  • bone broth

  • baked herbed chicken with sides

  • roasted squash stuffed with: sausage and veggies, seasoned rice, cream of mushroom + ground turkey

  • lasagna

  • enchiladas

  • something we all know as “what’s in the fridge?”… a favorite challenge.

And of course…

You or your family members love to cook and want to keep your chef’s hands in the act of cooking? No problem! There are plenty of families I support for whom this is true and have found that my role in simply prepping ingredients can really make a difference. Let me chop, peel, measure, wash and marinade so you can do what you love with some back-up.

Books

A favorite resource for postpartum nourishment is the beautiful The First Forty Days: The Essential Art of Nourishing the New Mother, by Amely Greeven, Heng Ou, and Marisa Belger. As a student of acupuncture and Chinese food therapy and medicinal philosophies, this book speaks to the therapeutic foods that have been used and passed down over thousands of years in East Asia. Absolutely delicious.
